Hey everyone! Im back from my cruise...

I got my parts in from CC, some stilletto end pieces for my ISO grips, a gold trim ring, and front and rear clear indicator covers. Cruiser Customizing didnt have the chrome bulbs in stock, but I wanted to change them anyway. I like the look of the clear cover and the white bulb underneath, its pretty damn bright.. But I am not sure if this is illegal or not.. can anyone comfirm this? My friend at work drives a white subaru and put white blinkers on his car and he hasnt run into any trouble yet...

Most states' motor vehicle codes mandate no white light displayed to rear, except tag illumination. And, all turn signals produce amber light, whether by lens or bulb color. If you have no vehicle inspections, then the police are the usual enforcers of such things, by citation...

I have a lighting idea / question

Hey All

I found some cool LED lights that can fit easily underneath the gas tank above the motor... But I was wondering if it was possible to hook it up so that the more you rev, the lighter the lights get. Think of it at night time when your in the parking lot, and you have RED led's glowing from around the engine every time you rev it up. While your riding your bike would glow... when you slow down it fades down. Can this be done? I heard the Tachometer has to be connected to a "Coil" can this work the same way?

Thanks

I ordered the silvered bulbs and wasn't impressed with their brightness (i.e., not bright enough). I went with sylvania lights from AutoZone. Look sort of blue when off and are bright as the typical amber.

Careful playing with colors. You don't want to turn it into a safety issue. I posted a thread a little while ago where a guy had clear lenses and clear bulbs that were quite small and I didn't realize he was turning. Of course, his engine braking without using his brakes did not help either.

Im not positive but i believe that the signal from the coil is a pulse signal not a constant one. If im right you will get a similar effect but the lights will flash instead steady glow, the tachs should have a processor or something inside to compensate but there should be a box that someone makes that would fix this problem; any other electricians out there know for sure or am i blowin smoke?
